In the news today:
A daycare provider in Canon City, Colorado has pleaded guilty to child abuse for the drowning death of a four-year-old child who was in her care.
The child drowned in her backyard pool last month. The child was reportedly playing with a group of children near the pool and fell in. Reports indicate that the adult caregiver was inside the house, making lunch for the children.
The caregiver was licensed to have eight children in her home, but at the time of the drowning, had 13 children in her home. There is no indication whether or not there was a swimming pool barrier in place on the property, however, combined with proper adult supervision, a pool fence or pool safety net could have helped prevent this terrible tragedy.

All-Safe® Pool Safety Products believes that while there is no substitute for adult supervision, a swimming pool fence or pool safety net provides a necessary, additional layer of protection between your child and your swimming pool, and helps guard against tragedy.
