Drowning Was Second Accident in Two Years

In Brockton, MA, the state Department of Children and Families is conducting an investigation at the home where 4-year-old twin sisters died after being found in the family's inground swimming pool at their home Saturday morning, officials said.

A neighbor recalled that two years ago one of the twin girls was rushed to the hospital after she fell into the same pool. The neighbor said the girl's father had administered CPR and the child was taken to the hospital, but was fine and back home the next day. It appears the parents did not take steps install a barrier to the swimming pool.

A press release from the DA's office issued Sunday said, "the circumstances surrounding the drowning are (under) investigation by state police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County district attorney’s office and the Brockton police." The DA said there would be no further details released at this time.
