A 23-month-old child was rescued from drowning in a swimming pool in Alabama yesterday.
The toddler was playing on the deck of a residence and took the lock off a gate to a fenced pool and then went into the pool.
The child was found floating in the pool by a family member.
The family estimated the child was in the pool a minute to a minute and a half.
This story is a reminder that constant adult supervision is critical around swimming pools.
